Another spiral done! This one also took months to make as it was also made with wool. It’s sooo heavy! I used the same pattern for the 4 colour spiral blanket, but used two solid and 2 multicolored yarns. I wasn’t sure if this would look any good, but in the end I loved the Continue reading Finished: Blue Spiral →
After months and months of delaying this blanket due to heat I have finally finished! I dyed the wool using my technique which you can find here. The unique nature of each ball of wool plus the spiral pattern of the blanket creates something totally random and awesome! I added a fringe because fringes are cool haha
All up I used about 16 balls of 50g wool for the centre and 3.5 for the Continue reading Finished: Spiral Blanket 2 →
It’s done! I love this blanket so much! Such a simple blanket to make but the yarn really makes it. I used a 7mm hook with Colours of Love yarn to create the bulky boho feeling. These colours remind me of all the colours of the forest and sky and work so well together! The bright green really stands out as the dominate colour and the grey really adds another dimension. Adding cream or white helps the colours pop and would be great for a border. These colours would work well for a modern baby blanket or throw blanket.
